Birthday present ideas for a friend + DIY card

Hello guys! One of my friend's birthdays is coming up, so I thought I would show you what I bought her (I sincerely hope she's not reading this and if she is STOP NOW!). Anyway... this will maybe give you an idea of what you could buy for a friend. Hope you like it!

For the present...
Tissue paper- Paperchase
First I bought a box and some nice looking tissue paper and stuffed the box about half way.

Barry M nail varnishes - Boots

Soap and glory body polish -  Boots

I love...Raspberry and Blackberry body spritz - superdrug

Maybelline 'cherry me' baby lips - superdrug

Hair ties - accesorize

Fruity melon - yankee candle

I then just put them all into a box and made it look fancy with some ribbon and (no idea what the other thing is called!) and there you go! But it's not over yet...

For the DIY card...
First you will need some coloured paper, I chose these, mostly from tiger and paperchase.

Then (and I apologise for the horrific flash, it's just that was the only way you could see the card properly) you get some plain coloured card, fold it in half and cut the coloured card in triangles to fit the plain card beneath.

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!

Refreshing drinks and how to make them

Hello again. These are just a couple of refreshing drinks that you could make in your spare time or even before school. Have fun experimenting with them!

First up... lemon and mint detox water.

What you will need...
Sliced up lemon
A couple of sprigs of mint
Water (obviously!)

I just put them into an indie looking mason jar and voila! You have your refreshing beverage!

A chocolate milkshake! Quite an obvious one, but still deeelicious.

What you will need...

2 table spoons of hot chocolate powder
4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
A glug of milk

First I blended the chocolate powder with 2 scoops of the icecream and the milk. I poured this into my glass and put two scoops of ice cream on the top!

Fruity detox water. This one is probably my favourite :).

What you will need...

3 blackberries
3 rasberries
A handful of blueberries
A couple of sprigs of mint
A slice of lemon
Water

It's really simple but so stimulating. Put it all into your glass and there you have it!

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!

A perfect winter pamper evening

Hello again! How are you? I have just gone back to school so I have been getting a lot more tired (compared to the holidays where you don't even know what day it is half of the time). I have been needing a time on the weekend where I relax and don't think about anything. So I thought I would share with you my tips on how to have the perfect pamper evening!

 Have a bath
Having a bath is always a good idea. It gives you time to relax and makes your skin nice and soft. I used The 'Christmas penguin' bubble bar from Lush (for obvious reasons..to make bubbles!) and Zoella's Fizz Bar to make the water soft. I also like to listen to the radio in the bath, just to make sure I am not thinking about anything else!

Light some candles
I like lighting candles all the time, not only on pamper evenings, but on these occasions it adds to the mood. As well as dimming the lights, lighting candles makes the atmosphere a lot calmer. Here I have used 'rainwashed berry' and 'sugared apple' by Yankee Candle.

Throw on some comfy clothes
Do I even need to explain? Comfy clothes are just the best, really. I put on a white t-shirt, an oversized jumper, some black leggings and fuzzy socks!

 Putting on a face mask
After my bath I will then put on a face mask. They are good for your skin, smell amazing and just a great thing to use if you need a bit of time to unwind! This particular one smells of chocolate orange and heats up when you apply it (I bought it from Boots).

Painting your nails
While I wait for my face mask to dry, I tend to paint my nails. This time I used 'Hype' by Jessica. It is a cloudy caramel colour and makes your nails very shiny and healthy looking. Even though it's quite a subtle/neutral colour I really like it.

Have a hot chocolate and watch some TV
What can I say? There isn't really anything better than curling up on the sofa with a hot chocolate to hand, watching a programme on telly (I recommend the Voice UK or a repeat of your favourite TV drama...). It's a great way to end your pamper evening and to be honest, who doesn't love it?

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!

December favourites

Hey guys! It's finally January and it's time for my December favourites...(it's actually the 6th of January but I have had no time to post this). Anyway, this month I have mostly been liking beauty/skincare related stuff so I decided I would share these with you. Hope you enjoy them!

Bath and Body Works hand sanitisers
Firstly, may I just say these particular scents smell AMAZING (I chose them because they were kind of festive...). They smell slightly sweet but the pear scented one has hints of christmas spices. I also think they look really cute,  especially as you can get little holders for them to go on your bag.

Yankee Candle (in the scent cranberry pear)
I think these little candles are perfect in the winter to light in your bedroom. They just set the wintery mood and smell really good too.

Soap and Glory 'super tonic'
I absolutely love this perfume! The orange makes it quite a wintery scent so perfect for December/January! Also (you may be seeing a theme here) it smells soo good. All you need is a light spritz before going out of the house and you're ready and smelling gorgeous!

Simple facial scrub and 'deep cleansing' face mask
Both of these are really useful in the winter as my face can get quite dry with all this cold weather. The facial scrub gets rid of any dead skin and the face mask clears any pores, especially if you wash it off with lukewarm water.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
As you probably know Zoe (or 'Zoella') is also a blogger and makes videos on Youtube. I really enjoyed this book because the plot was very clever. I couldn't put the book down, which is what a good a book is meant to be able to do so I recommend you read it.

365 Blog Topic Ideas by Dana Fox
If you are a fellow blogger like myself you probably have days where you run out of ideas on what to blog about. Having this in your house makes things a whole lot easier because on every page there is an idea of what to write about; from beauty to ten facts about yourself.

EOS lipbalms
These two flavours are sweet mint and pomegranate raspberry. I generally like any lipbalms in the winter because my lips get so dry but recently I have been using these. They are really nourishing and make your lips extremely smooth!

I got this for christmas and I am so so so happy! The amazing thing about them is that the novelty never wears off, every time the photo pops out and you have to shake it until the the colour starts appearing. I think they are also a retro thing to add to your room and an extremely nice thing to own!

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!
