christmas gift guide for her

Hello again !! Todays post is a very late 'christmas gift guide for her', including a mixture of expensive and affordable items. This post is for all the *extremelly* late christmas shoppers, anyone still wondering what to ask for themselves or just for you to have a quick nosey ! Firstly, a diptyque scent in 'l'ombre dans l'eau' which has notes of blackcurrant leaves and bulgarian roses. This is a beautiful scent and, although quite expensive, a perfect gift for a diptyque lover. The second gift is any sort of hand cream; I suggest the body shop hand cream in grapefruit. To read my review, click here. Next is the Tanya Burr lip gloss in 'candy cane'. I got this quite early on (so no spoilers) in my Tanya Burr advent calendar. I love it lots and it's so handy to throw in your bag! A couple more gift/ stocking suggestions are glitter tape, nail varnish and makeup brushes. Lastly, this Oliver Bonas hanging photo frame would be perfect for a stocking filler or even secret santa. Hope you enjoyed!

how i style my culottes

Another outfit post !! wooo cause these seem to be the only type of posts I can do at the moment lol. Before autumn ends and all the leaves fall, I thought I would do a post including my beloved culottes. I wouldn't recommend wearing these on a freezing cold day because the material is so lovely and flowy but not the most practical for winter. However, when the weather is not bitterly cold go for it! My style isn't THAT out there so when I went out to buy a pair I didn't go for the funky red stripes (although next time maybe) and also I thought the colours grey and white would go with tons of teeshirts I have. In this outfit I paired them with a simple grey tee, my zara coat (from last years collection) and stan smiths. Anyway, the point is I luuurve them a lot + can we just appeciate how beautiful Kew is at this time of year (where I took all the photos).

Hope you enjoyed <3

a very late june favourites

Ok, I understand this is 9 days late but I tried to think of a more original title than 'june favourites' and couldn't ahah. This is handful of knick- knacks that I thought would be cute to compile into a blog post!! 3 of the items I'm mentioning all relate to one thing I've been doing loving recently: scrapbooking/ making photo albums. The notebook, glitter tape and felt tips have been perfect components to a scrapbook (+ v cuuute). Another thing i've been loving wearing lately are small, trinkety bracelets; I bought one whilst on holiday a couple of months ago and got tons of compliments on it considering how small it was. Lastly,  Lush lip scrubs (throwback much) but honestly I forgot how much I love them. They aren't too harsh but are perfect if you have slightly dry lips as mine have been recently.

things i've been loving

Hey again! I really have been loving all these things especially the cute little polaroid frame from UO. The nail varnish and body spray are both from & other stories: a shop my friend recently persuaded me to go into and have loved ever since. The patterned notebook is from Monki (another shop I have been loving) and the fluffy pen is from Paperchase. I have been using my polaroid a lot recently, hence the photo frame. The glass bottle is actually a spray on toner, which is incredibly useful and refreshing on the skin. Also, aren't the cotton buds from topshop just SO CUTE. Lastly I'm not sure where the necklace is from but it is beautiful and I have many compliments on it so I thought I would add it to the mix!

Ok, where have I been for the last few months? The answer to that is basically hibernating from the cold and dodging every responsibility that comes my way. January and Feburary were pretty ok for post christmas, apart from the weather being rather dull. But the real question is: why haven't I posted?! The answer to that is I had a complete mind blank and thought of absolutely no ideas, until now :)) I hope you enjoyed and look forward to any upcoming posts. Right, now back to my maths homework (wish me luck).

candle collection

Helloooo. I will be showing you my candle collection today- I would show you my christmas candles but I don't have that many and I have some that aren't very christmassy but deserved to be showed!

Let's be honest. I am terrible at describing smells, but I will try my best, so don't expect much! This candle is midnight jasmine by Yankee candle and I love it a lot. It's one of those candles that you would burn in the day as it is not a very strong, cosy scent.

Cranberry pear by Yankee candle. This has a really christmassy scent and is an evening smell, preferably by the fire with a hot chocolate..

Bougie perfumee by Diptyque. Ok, so I know it is diptyque but the scent is amazinggg; it is floral and very fresh. However can we just appreciate the packaging? It is beautiful and all round a lovely candle.

Cinnamon and orange by Stoneglow. The packaging is so pretty and festive, as is the scent of the candle (can you call a scent pretty?!). It smells like exactly what it is called- Cinnamon and orange, and I love it loads.

Lemon lavender by Yankee Candle. This is a sweet fragrance but surprisingly refreshing, so it is perfect for the morning.

Hope you enjoyedd  <3

christmas wishlist

Hi again. Todays post will be my christmas wishlist- hopefully this will give you some ideas of what you may want for christmas if you don't already know (which isn't very likely) or inspiration of things to get other people. I've come up with a range of sizes of presents so there are things to potentially ask for, or give, for a stocking and main present.

1) Snow time- lush. This has loads of christmas themed lush products in it and it would be a perfect gift for some one who likes both christmas and lush *cough* me *cough* :)))

2) Gabriella's new phone case. I love this so much! Its a great dupe for skinny dip and just a really lovely phone case.

3) Topshop skirt. I also love this a lot (that's why it's on my christmas wishlist!...) It would go perfectly with a pair of tights and a comfy grey sweater.

4) Black topshop joni jeans. These are a staple item in ones closet just because they go with literally anything!

5) Spray on nail varnish. I don't think I even need to explain: just why has no one thought of this earlier?

6) Hershel backpack. I need to get a new school bag soonish and I thought this would be the perfect time to ask for one! The one I am showing in the picture is simple but I like the big gold zip because it makes it something other than just a black bag.

7) A onsie. I've always been intrigued by onesies and secretly always wanted one. My friend had this giraffe one and I loved it so much I thought I would ask for it for christmas!

zoella beauty

Hiiii. Lemme just start off by saying these might just be some of the best quality photos I have ever taken!? I also want to properly review the products and not just go on about how much I love the products (which I tend to normally do). The 'wonder hand' has to be my favourite out of this trio partly because of the beautiful packaging but also the actual product is really lovely. The scent is an all rounder, but not one of those scents where you just need a moment to take it in- those ones are VERY rare. The little purse is really sweet aswell, I like the detailing on the collar but I did get it free in the 3 for 2 offer so it wasn't actually out of my own choice but i like it all the same. Finally the solid fragrance: the scent is the same as the hand cream and the consistency is quite loose, which means you get it on your fingers easily but it does dent the product.

Hope you enjoyedd <3

Quick reveiw

Hii. I'm going to be quickly reveiwing a body shop hand cream in the scent mango. I won't be posting next week because I'm going on holiday, but hope you enjoy!

First off I'm just gonna say that over all I really like this hand cream. The scent is amazing, I've even had random people when i put on the hand cream, say things like "ooh whats that lovely smell?" (not to me, obviously,  that would be a bit weird). Its only flaw is when you first put it on it feels abit sticky/ greasy, which isn't the nicest in hot weather, but after about 30 seconds of letting it dry your hands feel so soft. This is the best hand cream I've tried for sure, as it also does the opposite of what most hand creams I've tried tend to do, which is actually end up making your hands dry.

intergalactic universe

Heyy. The other day I went to the new lush on Oxford street and bought the bath bomb 'intergalactic'. The actual shop is three stories high and slightly over whelming but amazing. There are products dedicated to the new store which are all intriguing and the mixture of smells in abit overpowering, but I guess that all part of the experience?

All lush products are beneficial to the skin, but this bath bomb made the water particularly soft. The colour the water turned was a beautiful deep turquoise with gold shimmers. The gold glitter rippled slightly in the bath which I thought added to the effect of the galaxy. This was possibly the best bath bomb I have tried because the glitter was very fine and not at all sticky and it was just so cool to watch it fizz.

December favourites

Hey guys! It's finally January and it's time for my December favourites...(it's actually the 6th of January but I have had no time to post this). Anyway, this month I have mostly been liking beauty/skincare related stuff so I decided I would share these with you. Hope you enjoy them!

Bath and Body Works hand sanitisers
Firstly, may I just say these particular scents smell AMAZING (I chose them because they were kind of festive...). They smell slightly sweet but the pear scented one has hints of christmas spices. I also think they look really cute,  especially as you can get little holders for them to go on your bag.

Yankee Candle (in the scent cranberry pear)
I think these little candles are perfect in the winter to light in your bedroom. They just set the wintery mood and smell really good too.

Soap and Glory 'super tonic'
I absolutely love this perfume! The orange makes it quite a wintery scent so perfect for December/January! Also (you may be seeing a theme here) it smells soo good. All you need is a light spritz before going out of the house and you're ready and smelling gorgeous!

Simple facial scrub and 'deep cleansing' face mask
Both of these are really useful in the winter as my face can get quite dry with all this cold weather. The facial scrub gets rid of any dead skin and the face mask clears any pores, especially if you wash it off with lukewarm water.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
As you probably know Zoe (or 'Zoella') is also a blogger and makes videos on Youtube. I really enjoyed this book because the plot was very clever. I couldn't put the book down, which is what a good a book is meant to be able to do so I recommend you read it.

365 Blog Topic Ideas by Dana Fox
If you are a fellow blogger like myself you probably have days where you run out of ideas on what to blog about. Having this in your house makes things a whole lot easier because on every page there is an idea of what to write about; from beauty to ten facts about yourself.

EOS lipbalms
These two flavours are sweet mint and pomegranate raspberry. I generally like any lipbalms in the winter because my lips get so dry but recently I have been using these. They are really nourishing and make your lips extremely smooth!

I got this for christmas and I am so so so happy! The amazing thing about them is that the novelty never wears off, every time the photo pops out and you have to shake it until the the colour starts appearing. I think they are also a retro thing to add to your room and an extremely nice thing to own!

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!
Silver linings...
