birthday benefit haul

Hey guys. This post is slightly over due because my birthday was a few days ago now. Anyway, I'm going to be doing a haul of the benefit stuff I got and quickly reviewing the products. Enjoy.

 Firstly, I got the mini skincare set. I love the packaging, but to be honest all benefit packaging is gorgeous. I like how it has two products for each stage in a skincare routine (wash, tone/cleanse and moisturise). Every thing in the set has a fresh scent, is very soothing and hydrating, perfect for sensitive skin.

 Secondly, I got the 'feelin' dandy' box set. I love EVERYTHING in it, from the products down to the mirror. Posie tint is in my opinion a much better version of the over hyped benetint, just because its a more natural colour and high beam is an amazing highlighter. I love the little brush that comes with the beautiful powder blush and probably my favourite thing in the box is the dandy lipgloss. The consistency isn't sticky at all, in fact glides onto the lips very smoothly and the colour is a shimmery pale-ish pink.

 Finally, I got the mini pore fessional. Again, I love the packaging and the product actually works. I'm not sure but I think it gives some coverage, especially on the nose which is where i put it to stop concealer sliding off.

I am so grateful for everything I have got, and I'm not bragging at all, I just thought you might want to know as these are quite good presents for friends or juts for yourself! Byeee

intergalactic universe

Heyy. The other day I went to the new lush on Oxford street and bought the bath bomb 'intergalactic'. The actual shop is three stories high and slightly over whelming but amazing. There are products dedicated to the new store which are all intriguing and the mixture of smells in abit overpowering, but I guess that all part of the experience?

 All lush products are beneficial to the skin, but this bath bomb made the water particularly soft. The colour the water turned was a beautiful deep turquoise with gold shimmers. The gold glitter rippled slightly in the bath which I thought added to the effect of the galaxy. This was possibly the best bath bomb I have tried because the glitter was very fine and not at all sticky and it was just so cool to watch it fizz.

charity shop necklace

Recently I picked up this dainty little necklace at a Charity shop and loved it at first, but then wasn't sure how to make it work. But I tried and tested with a few tops, then decided that blacks and greys would go the best. It happened that these weren't particularly summery colours, but the necklace didn't really go with vibrant reds and oranges. Anyway my point is that not every thing has to come from mainstream shops such as Topshop and Brandy Melville (however much I love them). Go and look in your local charity shop! You'd be surprised what you find.

5 beauty summer essentials

Hellooo. I haven't posted on this blog in ages, and I mean agess. Let's just say I almost 'forgot' about it? I love blogging and all, but it wasn't top of my list in terms of things I needed to do! I also had a mind blank and had absolutely no ideas . Whenever I did I either forgot to write them down, or realised it was way out of my blogging capacity to achieve them. Anyway I had a splurge of creative ideas and this was one... enjoy!

1. Sea Salt spray

This is perfect to enhance second day curls or to give a beachy look to just normal hair. I never really do anything with my hair in the summer, especially when it is hot, I just tend to scrape it back into a pony tail, so this is perfect for when you have those lazy days.

2. A light/ pastel colour nail polish

White or very light pinks go well with almost any outfit- picture some almond white nails, a white patterned top, some stylish black strapped sandals and an a-lined denim skirt. Ahhh summer.

3. Primer

I cannot express how well primer works. Since my friend bought me the Baby Skin instant pore eraser, I have been using primer every day. It mattifys the finish of your makeup (not that I wear too much, even just concealer) and stops everything sliding off your face because of the heat.

4. lip balm

Often my lips get dry in the sun so a lip balm is perfect, even though this might be an obvious one! Sometimes a tinted lip balm goes well, but most of the time I just want to go natural (eos' are good for the job).

5. shampoo

Lets be honest, there is no better feeling than super soft hair that isn't horrible and greasy. I heard about OGX and wondered what the hype was about. And now I know. The first time I used the Moroccan Argan Oil range I fell in love. It does take time to wash out, but trust me, that extra 3 mins will save your next two- three days (in terms of hair).
