Winter outfit post

Hello again! How are the holidays going? If you celebrate Christmas I hope you had a lovely one. Anyway... recently it has been very cold in the UK so I have had to wrap up warm. Cosy sweaters and warm jeggings have been my No. 1 outfit choice at this wintery time of year. So I thought I would show you an example of what I have been wearing.

Jeggings - Brandy Melville
I love these jeggings because they are so simple yet they go well with any outfit. They are also incredibly comfy so they are perfect for a day out in the cold weather.

Socks - Topshop
Shoes- Superga
I think these shoes are amazing. Partly because they have a warm fleece lining inside but also because they can give a casual feel to any outfit. They go particularly well with these socks because the pop of colour makes the outfit a little more interesting.

Coat - Zara
I basically live in this coat in the winter. The faux fur around the hood is so warm and I think it looks amazing with any 'every day' clothes.

Sweater - Brandy Melville
Aaah! The joys of comfy sweaters! I adore the maroon colour of this jumper because it is very wintery. I think even with some comfy leggings this can brighten up the outfit instead of just the normal blacks and greys, which people tend to wear in the winter because they are easy to pull off.

T-shirt - Brandy Melville

Rose gold ring - Brandy Melville
I love a touch of bling to an outfit as even the smallest ring can change the outfit dramatically.

Hat - Capo
A hat makes it all the warmer! (I couldn't find the link for this, sorry!)

Purse - Accesorize
I love this purse so much because it can spice up the blandest clothing with out making the outfit too over whelming.

When taking these photos I found a cat hiding in a christmas tree! He then followed me around as I took the photos. I thought he was too cute not to put in this post so here he is!

Hopefully this winter outfit post will give you some ideas of what you could wear on a cold day!
I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until the next time!

'Christmas pudding' cake pops

'Christmas pudding' cake pops! I came up with this idea on the tube whilst thinking about what to post today and i was very pleased with myself. I then walked into Waitrose to get the ingredients and stumbled across a 'christmas pudding' cake pop kit. How annoying... great minds think alike?

Ingredients:
for the sponge
170g butter
170g caster sugar
115g self-raising flour
50g cocoa powder
3 large eggs
for the decoration
icing sugar
waitrose 'fruity confetti'
water

1. Preheat the oven to 190c fan/ 170c gas mark 5.

2. Mix the butter and the sugar together until creamy and light.

3. Combine the cocoa powder and the flour (in a different bowl), then add the eggs. Mix the the two substances in the bowls together.

4. Spoon the batter into the cake pop maker so the mixture  is evenly spread out. Bake for about 15 mins.

5. Make the water icing by putting some icing sugar into a bowl and adding drops of water making it not too runny but not gloopy either. Dribble this on the top of the cake pops.

6. Finally get your 'fruity confetti' and take 3 red and 2 green. Assemble these on the top of your cake pops (in the shape of a holly leaf) and you're good to go!

The finished result...(I think they turned out pretty good)

I hope you enjoyed reading this.Until the next time!
